Leading the Senior Squad for the 2011/2012 season is a great honour.

Following our hard won battle last season to secure promotion to Division 2A of the Ulster Bank All Ireland League, we hope to build on our elevation to bring us to even greater heights.   One point was the difference between first and second last season and this is the fine margin we will be working with in the coming season.   This requires great commitment from all the players in the team and I have no doubt that the calibre of players, the dedication of coaching staff including Niall Woods, the support of the Executive and of course the experienced Reggie Corrigan at the steering wheel, will bring us just rewards,

Warm congratulations and good luck conveyed to our President for the 11/12 season, Paddy Elliot. Appreciation must go also to the hardworking and committed parents and friends looking after the very young GRFC players of the future.

The marketing team worked extremely hard last season at various levels with great success, thanks to your support.  We hope to continue this in the coming season.   2010 was a year of challenges for most.   We are all more than aware of the effects of the recession both on a personal and professional level.  Thus support of our sponsors and advertisers is very welcome.   Please give your support in return.

Thanks also to the pavilion staff, led by Eddie Lonergan, for keeping everything running smoothly, from the superb condition of our pitch to overseeing functions at the club.

Finally, remember the third half of our home games are always held in our comfortable bar where supporters can touch, crouch and engage in debate on tackles, rucks and scrums!
