at the Greystones People of the year awards last Thursday evening. Commenting after the awards ceremony Club President Jerome O’Brien said . .
Greystones Rugby Club are absolutely delighted with the awarding of Greystones Sportsperson of the year to our first team player Andrew Kealy. As many of you may know Andrew suffered a horrific injury three years ago that left doctors questioning whether he would walk freely never mind play rugby again but the strength of character and determination that makes him such a great sportsman carried him through to play a pivotal role in the clubs success this season. Andrew is a tremendous role model for all aspiring young sports people in the town, whether young Rugby players, GAA, Soccer or whatever their chosen sport, Andrew has demonstrated that with the right attitude and determination you can overcome whatever adversity is placed in your way
