A beautiful early winters morning served as the backdrop for the nine matches served up by the Greystones and Clontarf under 11's. The fine day was rewarded by much free flowing and exciting rugby and, as can be concluded from the results, these were well balanced contests. The most pleasing sight on offer was the teamwork, commitment and attitude displayed by our under 11s. There were many fine examples of individual skill on offer, such as some of the superb solo tries. The take home message for the coaches was delivered by way of Greystones superior cohesive scrummaging and line-outs, the interplay between the backs and forwards and the distribution and attacking threat displayed by the backs. Furthermore the willingness to work hard for each other in defence was very pleasing to see. |
