Greystones go top . . .

Greystones charged to the top of AIL Div2B with a 55 point rout of Skerries on Friday night. With news of Armagh’s failure to get a bonus point away to Thomond filtering through on Saturday afternoon it became clear that we were holding on to the top spot courtesy of a significantly superior points difference. Two tries apiece from Jack Keating, Paudie Geoghegan and Killian Marmion added to single tries from Con Callan, Andy Roberts and Robin O’Sullivan racked up the points. Next up is an away visit to Barnhall next Saturday with nothing taken for granted following back to back defeats to the Blue Bulls last season. All support is welcome and we continue our drive for promotion.

Elsewhere it was a mixed weekend report for Greystones teams. The u20’s recorded a bonus point win at home to Old Belvedere on Sunday afternoon but also on Sunday the seconds went down 24 – 0 away to Barnhall while the womens XV were beaten 46 – 5 away to Wicklow. On Friday night the thirds conceded away to Naas.
