Good wins for the U20’s and seconds this weekend.
The first team suffered defeat at the hands of league leaders Armagh who maintain their remarkable unbeaten run this season coming out on top on a 18-28 scoreline. Conor Pearse and Ferdia Kenny grabbed a try each while Andrew Kealy added two penalties and a conversion. Next up is a trip to second from bottom Thomond where we look to regroup and go in chase of a winning bonus point.
The under 20’s bounced back from the disappointment of surrendering a 31 point lead to Naas last week with a good win over a difficult Old Wesley side winning 25-17 with tries from Darren Curran, Mathew O’Brien and Shane Marmion to move up to fourth in the table. Also on Sunday the seconds travelled to Seapoint to record a 0 -25 win in a game marred by injury to Ferdia Kenny that will see him out of action until the new year.
On Friday the 3rds went down 40-15 away to Wanderers while the Womens XV travelled to Navan on Sunday losing 30-12.
