EASTER AND SUMMER CAMPS AT GREYSTONES RFC


Greystones RFC are delighted to announce Easter and Summer Camps for Minis and Youths run by our very own Kurt McQuilkin and Jason Emery

Camp Focus & Objectives 
The primary goal of the Mini and Youth summer rugby camps is to equip participants with the Greystones Rugby Football Club (GRFC) Player Pathway content. The summer camps will focus on developing fundamental rugby skills, game awareness, and tactical understanding in a structured and supportive environment.

Catch-Pass-Play" Mini camp (age 7 - 12)

The Greystones RFC "Catch-Pass-Play" Mini camp will focus on:

"Introducing fundamental core rugby skills in a structured and supportive environment."
Core Skills Development: Passing, kicking, tackling, running lines, and game decision-making.
Game-Based Learning: Small-sided games to introduce the Core Skills into match-like scenario's.
Teamwork & Leadership: Fostering values of respect, discipline, and teamwork.

The Rugby Factory Youth camp (age 13 - 18)

The Greystones RFC "Rugby Factory" Youth camp will focus on:

"Developing and enhancing fundamental core rugby skills in a structured and supportive environment"
Core Skills Development: Passing, kicking, tackling, running lines, and game decision-making.
Position-Specific Training: Tailored coaching for forwards and backs.
Game-Based Learning: Small-sided games and scenario-based drills to
enhance on-field intelligence.
Strength & Conditioning: Age-appropriate fitness and agility drills to build athleticism.
Teamwork & Leadership: Fostering values of respect, discipline, and teamwork.

Coaching Team 
The camp will be overseen by Kurt McQuilkin and led by experienced coaches and veteran camp organisers Jason Emery, who brings extensive expertise from elite levels of rugby. They will be supported by Greystones Rugby Club Development Officers, ensuring an optimal coach-to-player ratio for high-quality instruction.

These camps will provide young players with an excellent opportunity to develop their rugby skills under the guidance of expert coaches in a professional and enjoyable environment. With a structured curriculum based on the GRFC Player Pathway, participants will gain valuable insights into the game, refine their skills, and improve their overall performance.
